Citizen of the Year Nominations Being Accepted.
The Eureka Days Committee is accepting nominations for the Citizen of the Year for their contributions to the community that help make Eureka such a great place to live, work and visit. The following are the guidelines/criteria for selecting the recipient of this honorable designation. The designation will consist of a small plaque to be displayed proudly in their home and an invitation to participate in the annual Eureka Days Parade on Saturday, September 11, 2010.
Citizen of the Year
1. Recipients must be nominated for the award by anyone from the greater Eureka area.
2. Nominations must include a brief summary of the nominee’s efforts or involvement in the betterment of the community as well as contact information for nominee (address and telephone number).
3. The Eureka Days Committee will review all nominations and the select the recipient of the award.
4. The person selected as Citizen of the Year will be notified one month prior to the event.
5. Eureka Days Committee members will not be eligible for the award.
6. Nominations are due by July 31, 2010.
